Stuff Sara Says 3

Of course the picture is irrelevant to the story, but I'm sure there would be massive uprisings and rioting if there were to be a post about Sara sans picture. (As there should have been with the "housecrapper" incident!  Get the camera fixed!)  Anyway, Sara is branching out into sentences.  Definitely not normal.  She has also recently refused to wear (or put on) clothing. Last night, as Holly was trying to get Sara's pajamas on her, our little mouse looked at her mother and said, "No! I don't want to get dressed!" This follows in the vein of other "No, I don't..." sentences including don't want it, don't like it, don't give a flying crap what you say.  OK, I made up that last one, but the others are all true.  Funny Sara stuff part B from last night requires a bit o' 'splainin.  Nora, for reasons unknown to anyone on earth, had a massive freakout crying jag about her deceased bunny Pepper, who died about a year ago.  Said freakout occurred without any obvious provocation, we were just watching the Angels game and she BURST into tears about "I miss my Pepper!" It went on through bathtime and into lights out.  She finally fell asleep and then Sara took up the mourning. In her saddest little voice, Sara said, "Daddy, my pepperoni" over and over.  I did my best to not burst out laughing, but I did shake the bed a little.  Adding to the funny is the fact that Sara doesn't even like pepperoni; she pulls it off her pizza and throws it on the ground.  But she sure missed it last night.

A New Word

Yesterday Agnes was talking about a bug she saw several days ago. She called it a housecrapper. Then she asked what the name was for the bug... she meant grasshopper. It was funny at the time.

As You May Know...

...my birthday is coming up this month. I'm sure you're all wracking your brains trying to figure out what to get me. No need to waste another brain cell solving this great dilemma. I have the answer for you.

I'll take one of these please. Life size. In working order.

Thank you in advance.

Happy Anniversary

Dear Samuel and Holly,

Happy Anniversary! Have a great time in Palm Springs. Try not to get fried by the sun like an egg over easy on the sidewalk. I spent a lot of time in Palm Springs when I was little. But we were almost constantly in the swimming pool when we were there, so I hope your plans include some of that while you're down there. Maybe you can visit the burned down house or climb the mountainside and get stuck while your brother continues climbing and decides to leave you there while it's getting dark...not to mention the snakes- wait- that's all about me. Let's just say, have a happy anniversary and may you have many more wonderful years adding up to eternity. Come home from Palm Springs safely.
Love, Mom
