Baby Who?

So I'm going through pictures for Caleb's baby book and pick out this one.

My brain then goes something like this, "Blah blah blah...baby Mia..blah blah...what? Mia? That's not Mia. That's Sara. Really? Cuz that looks exactly like Mia."

I hope you guys are labeling their baby pictures so you can tell them apart in twenty years.

Ruffles have...

Not ridges yet, but we've got a PAIR of divots. That explains all the CRANKY lately!

Just as an open letter to Danny and Erin:
I know that as parents of a tiny little one that you want her to be the smartest kid in her class and meet all of her developmental milestones at the earlier end of the time frame. May I, as the grizzled veteran of a newly-mobile not-so-little one, offer this advice: STUNT HER GROWTH!!! DON'T LET HER MOVE!!! Enjoy the non-mobility for as long as humanly possible!

Love,
SJR

relative relatives

At what point are the relatives that you don't see too often 1) cool because you don't see them often so it's a "prize" when you do see them or 2) not cool and unknown because you don't see them often.

As an example, Matt was always cool because he usually wasn't around but he sometimes was. Paula or LynnEl, however, were mostly just unknown people since we never saw them.

Presumably at some point in the future we'll be able to travel more often, but will that be a "oh, it's time to see my cool aunts/uncles/cousins/grandparents that I don't get to see very often" or a "oh, we're going to see Dad's family. Can I bring my nintendo?"

Stuff Sara Says 12

Just a quick one before I run off to work:
N: You're silly.
S: I amn't silly!

This is probably my favorite contraction that she has ever created. We hear it a lot but it was finally time to document it.
